What My Big Brother/Sister means to me.

First Place:
Received 4 tickets to Knoebels and will throw out the first pitch August 26th at the Red Barons.
 

     My Big Brother Bill means a lot to me.  He is a special person in my life.  Bill is encouragement to me.  He encourages me to do some things I’m afraid to do.  If I know Bill wants me to do something and I’m afraid, most of the time I will do it.
     Bill encourages me with my present and future.  My school grades have improved. I want to make him proud of me, so I study more. I even made honors.  Bill will also help me with my homework, if I have trouble with it. I like when he helps with my projects, also.
     Bill talks about me going to college. I now want to go to college.
     Bill keeps encouraging me to play basketball. I’m afraid, but I’m going to try out for middle school basketball in the fall.
     My Big Brother Bill means everything to me and I am so lucky to have Bill.  I hope to be just like Bill when I grown up.  Maybe I can be a Big Brother to some child, someday.

Second Place:
Received 4 tickets to Knoebels and will be Honorary Captain July 23rd at the Pioneers Game.

     The reason I like by big sisters is because she is good to me.  She is very nice and kind.  She’s great because Lindsie brought my grades up and I said thanks.  I would like to have Lindsie as a big sister because she would help me with my homework.
     I thank Lindsie for all she’s done. Lindsie is a good friend to me.  I like Lindsie because when I have a problem she always gave me a solution to the problem.  If I’m having a hard time with my homework Lindsie will help out.
     Lindsie is fun because we play games together and we always laugh on the same things people say.  She is the best big sister in the world.  Lindsie, Thank you.

     Alison is always nice to me.  She listens to my problems. She praises me when I do well. She helps me feel proud of myself and special. She is not only my Big Sister; she is my best friend forever!
     We have a lot of things in common.  We both like movies, Chinese food, and animals. We spend a lot of time doing fun things.  She cares about how I feel.
     Alison is a wonderful Big Sister. Anybody would be lucky to have her as a Big Sister.  I am the luckiest kid in the world to have her!

     My big sisters are Jennifer S. and Jennifer D.  They take my sister Niki and I once a week and spend time with us.  How I feel about my big sisters is they are the best friends I ever had.  My mom has MS and can’t drive so my big Sisters always go out with me and we have a lot of fun.  I love my sisters more then the world.  My big sisters also help me with stuff when I am stuck. My big sisters take me for ice cream every time they take us somewhere.  My big sisters bring me to lots of places like the park, the mall, bowling, swimming, the Crayola Factory and movies.  At Easter time, we went to the mall to have our picture taken with the Easter Bunny. They also bring me to places to eat like Chuckee Cheese and Friendly’s.  For my birthday, my big sisters gave me presents and a cake.  One present was clay and spiral art kits, cards, and a video game. One time my big sisters brought me to Bushkill Falls then we went hiking in a park. We saw a trail and followed it.  We went to the Pocono Snake and Animal Farm one time and it was a lot of fun.  I liked looking at the snakes, birds, and the wolf. We got to feed the sheep and goats, which I really liked.  We also made my Mom presents for Mother’s Day and made ourselves tie-die t-shirts.  I spend a lot of time with my big sisters and like them a lot. We always have a lot of fun. They both mean a lot to me.

     My big sister’s name is Jennifer. I think my sister is great.  I have a sister name Megan and she has a big sister named Jennifer, too. We are best friends and so are my big sister and Jennifer.
     We went to Chuckie Cheese and Imaginations. My sister’s house is great and she helps my other sister with her homework.  We also play video games at Megan’s Jennifer’s house. I also have two big sisters and my mom has MS and can’t drive.  So we go out and have fun.  We went to the Crayola Factory and I like it. We go to a lot of places, it is cool.  We went swimming. We also caught moths and butterflies.  We saw a movie called “The Pacifier”, it was cool.
     I like them.  How I feel about them.  It is so cool.  We also have fun. We made a present for our mom and she said it is beautiful.  I love them.

     My name is Timothy and my big sister is Carrisa.  I met her at school with the program. This program taught me fun, more wisdom, and intelligence.  The program gave me the courage to move on. It taught me more responsibility.  It gave me some friendship tips.  People have their ups and downs.  It gives you pride. It teaches you respect and taking time to help others.  It can make you independent.  It makes people loyal to others.  It proves you’re worthy.  It made me satisfied.  It made me trustworthy. The program gave me talent.  My big sister taught me peace.  She taught me health.  And she taught me; people are special in their own ways.  Someday I might be a volunteer in this program because it taught me community service and for many other reasons.

     My name is Sandra, I have a big sister, through the Big Brother, Big Sister program.  My Big Sister is like a mom because she is older than me.  She is lots of fun. I can look up to her and she is like my friend too.  My Big Sister is very nice. She isn’t commanding at all. We do a lot of things together.

     What my big sister means to me. She means a lot of thoughts. We do things that I know that I wouldn’t have done by myself.  My mom works a lot so we don’t do a lot of things that I do.  She is just like my big sister. We go get our nails done, horse back riding, go carts, poetry. She likes every thing I like.  I really love it. I would never change my big sister.  So I would really love this program a lot.  People think that she is my mom, but when we say we are sisters they believe it too, and love it. I really can’t believe how you guys do it but I really love it.  How you guys put pairs together and how they love it.  So I would really have to say good job. And if I had to say how my big sister is she would be fun, happy all the time, loves the outdoors.  Now we would be all the same things, but one more thing is hyper, but she is hyper sometimes. But I would never trade her in, so thanks a lot again. I hope I win and I would love it. For the 1st prizewinner I would want Knoebels tickets and the same thing for second prize, 3rd place would be the tee shirt.  But thank you for everything that you do for my big sister and me.
