Walk Around Wilkes-Barre to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters

Wilkes-Barre, PA – People will let their feet do the talking as they raise money and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge while enjoying a social evening in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

On Thursday, August 16, 2007 all of Northeast Pennsylvania is invited to join Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge for Walk Around Wilkes-Barre, a casual evening of progressive dining and entertainment for adults featuring several of Wilkes-Barre’s finest downtown destinations.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Center with hors d’oeuves by Dente Catering and entertainment. Guests then walk to Lowe’s Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge for soup, salad and beverages. After Lowe’s, dinner will be held in the Tiffany Room of the Ramada with live entertainment to accompany the meal. The evening wraps up at Genetti’s with desert, coffee, tea and dancing. Tickets include a specified number of beverages; however a cash bar will be available at each walk stop. Both Genetti’s and the Ramada are offering discount hotel room rates to all Walk participants wishing to stay overnight.

Tickets are $125 per person and a portion of the price is tax deductible. All proceeds benefit the important youth mentoring work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
