Wilkes University and Big Brothers Big Sisters Buddy For A Day Events
Big Brothers Big Sisters will be holding the annual “Buddy For A Day” events with first year students from Wilkes University on Monday, June 23rd, from 9:30AM to 11:30AM and Monday, July 14th, from 9:30AM to 11:30AM. The events will take place at Kirby Park. The pick up and drop off location will be near the playground. The events are free and open to all waiting list and school-based youth but you need to register for each event.
Youth will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun activities like relay races, a water balloon toss and kickball to name a few. Keep in mind, weather permitting, it will be an outdoor event, so dress accordingly. In case of rain, a new location on campus at Wilkes University will be announced. Either way, the events will go on rain or shine and you must call the RSVP number to reserve your spot!
The participants are first year college students that will be attending Wilkes University this fall. Many are eager to volunteer in the community and often choose to become mentors with us at Big Brother Big Sisters.
RSPS dates for the events are as follows, for the Monday, June 19th for the June event and Monday, July 10th for the July event. Your participation in these events is encouraged.
